Draft Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010

The draft Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 have been laid before Parliament. These regulations widen the existing environmental permitting and compliance system in England and Wales by integrating existing permitting regimes covering water discharge consents, groundwater authorisations, radioactive substances regulation authorisations and the outcomes of the Waste Exemptions Order Review into the Environmental Permitting system.The draft Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 are available here: http://www.defra.gov.uk/environment/policy/permits/documents/draftsi-envper010125.pdf The Explanatory Memorandum to the new Regulations is available here:
